Our Story

Hey Besties,

We’re Rae and Jae, the heart and smiles behind KnotsByRae & JaeNRaeCrochet. 

We are a Montreal (West Island), Canada based small business.

I (Rae) created KnotsByRae in 2018 when I learned how to make thread friendship bracelets. I would make them for my friends, family and students. My brother suggested I sell my bracelets, now here we are!

Our small business started on Etsy in 2018. In 2023 we decided to try out in-person events from craft fairs, sports tournaments, to festivals. In 2024-2025 we opened our website! 

KnotsByRae has grown so much in the last few years and we make much more than just friendship bracelets. We've added accessories to complement our bracelets.

We’ve also expanded into crochet items with JaeNRaeCrochet! Between my mom (Jae) and I, we make anything from crochet plushies to crochet bags.
